Erdemoğlu family started their production activities in 1970 with 2 pieces of rug weaving loom and incorporated Erdemoğlu Halı San. ve Tic. AŞ. in 1990, then in 1998 this company changed its title as Merinos Halı San. ve Tic. AŞ.
Today Merinos Halı proceeded well in the branding stage and became a giant enterprise being represented in 47 countries. With the investments and successful marketing strategies the company has been implementing since from Merinos Halı is a leader in Turkish piece carpet sector whereas ranks second on world.
With 20 different quality, 15 various color group and thousands of alternative design range, Merinos Halı exports 25% of its production.
Merinos Halı has 3 pieces of production unit in Gaziantepand a covered area of 240.000 m2 on 1.050.000 m2. In Merinos Halı factories more than 2000 people are employed. In Turkey wide it has 23 main dealers and 2350 sales points only on carpet.
In the thread production premises located in Gaziantep;
- 1800 ton/month acrylic thread
- 2.100 ton/month polypropylene thread
- 1.200 ton/month acrylic thread dying
- 140 ton/month masterbatch for polypropylene
In piece carpet production plants ; 1.800.000 m2/month piece carpet are produced.
Merinos group started to make furniture and home linen production in its factories located in İzmir Torbalı at the and of the year 2004. Merinos Mobilya makes manufacturing in a covered area of 126.000 m2 at its premises that have an open area of 650.000 m2 in total. More than 800 people are employed in the furniture plants.
Merinos Mobilya has a factory that is equipped with the most state of art technology on world. In the integrated premise of Merinos Mobilya, sofa, sitting groups, bed, bed base and home linens are produced. Also manufacturing of dining room, bed room and teenager room groups as well as panel furniture is also started.
Merinos group is entered to the furniture sector and increasing its product range in every passing day and besides introduced a marketing integration through specialist chain stores. Today Merinos Mobilya has 18 main dealer and nearly 500 showroom in Turkey wide.
While production in Merinos Mobilya integrated premises is going on in full speed, also the construction and infrastructure works are progressing with the same speed.
