Constructed in 2009 on a 110 m² area on Arif Ağaoğlu Boulevard, the monument is situated in the middle of a landscaped area. The sides of the monument feature relief carvings depicting Mehmet Erdemoğlu selling carpets in Besni, while the top of the base displays a statue of a young girl weaving a traditional Besni carpet.
