Merinos grants a student dormitory and condolence house to Adıyaman 28-Sep-2012

Merinos, one of the largest carpet manufacturers in the world, continues its social responsibility projects. Merinos, which had previously implemented many projects such as schools, dormitories, health centers and mosques, opened a girls' dormitory and condolence house in Besni district of Adıyaman.

Adıyaman Governor Mahmut Demirtaş, Adıyaman Deputy Mehmet Erdoğan, Besni District Governor Gürkan Demirkale, Adıyaman University Rector Mustafa Talha Gönüllü and many citizens attended the opening ceremony of the dormitory and condolence house.

The dormitory was named Gülsüm Erdemoğlu. Erdemoğlu Holding Board Chairman Ibrahim Erdemoğlu gave a speech at the ceremony and said that they shall continue to contribute in areas such as education, accommodation, and religion that Turkey needs with the awareness of social responsibility as far as their possibilities.  Stating that Besni should develop economically, Erdemoğlu said, "We will start an investment of 40 million dollars in our district of Besni next year.”
