Erdemoğlu donates TL 15 million for education 02-Jun-2014

The foundation of Adıyaman University, Mehmet Erdemoğlu Faculty of Architecture of Besni was laid with the support of Erdemoğlu Holding. The faculty will be completed in two years.

Erdemoğlu Holding continues to support social development with its investments. The foundations of Mehmet Erdemoğlu Faculty of Architecture, which will be realized with an investment of TL 15 million, in the Besni District of Adıyaman, were laid. It is aimed to complete the construction of the 600-student capacity faculty building in two years. The foundation laying ceremony was attended by Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin, Gaziantep Governor Erdal Ata, Adıyaman Governor Mahmut Demirtaş, regional mayors, members of the parliament, Erdemoğlu Holding Chairman İbrahim Erdemoğlu, Adıyaman University Rector Prof. Mustafa Talha Gönüllü and many guests. Erdemoğlu Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony, "we move forward by virtue of our principle to give what we earn from Turkey to the future of our country. We have transferred TL 45 million to education so far. Lastly, in the past months, we introduced Van Mehmet Erdemoğlu Technical Vocational High School with a capacity of 650 students to education. In addition, we will include Gaziantep Girls' Vocational High School with a capacity of 900 students for education” 


Erdemoğlu also called on the industrialists and said, “We expect new faculties to be added next to the architecture faculty in our district. Our goal and expectation is that 5 thousand students will be educated in Adıyaman Besni Campus by 2023, the 100th anniversary of establishment of our Republic. We are fully confident that investments will continue on this path we started.”, he said.


İbrahim Erdemoğlu said that besides education, they have important investments in economic development. Erdemoğlu announced that they are working to establish a yarn facility in Besni with an investment of USD 30 million.
